Due to lots of traveling this year, I didn’t have many chances to sell my pottery at craft markets. Now I have a bit of a stockpile! I’m getting ready for my next sale, which will be at the JACC on December 10. The event is called STUFFED! All items will be $25 or less, and I’ve got lots of “stocking stuffers”. Here are a few:

A new item for me: egg cups! It’s a perfect dish for a soft-boiled egg breakfast.

I made these intending them for soap dishes, but check out the next photo to see another use!

A customer showed me that, using the ridges created by the fish’s scales, you can grate a garlic bulb on those scales, add olive oil and herbs, and dip your bread in the mixture. Yum!

Candle holders are a safe way to enjoy candlelight. I have a variety of sizes and colors.

Tree faces! Lots of variety (and they sure were fun to make.) Hang them on a tree, your fence, or on your mailbox post. They make you smile.

Spoon rests!

I have LOTS of little bowls. They are handy for salt and herbs, jelly beans, spare change, sauces…all kinds of things. Various sizes and colors.

And there is more. The event is called STUFFED, and it will be at the JACC on December 10 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. I’ll be there with all of that good stuff I just showed you, and so will many other vendors. All items are $25 or less. See you there.

The focus for my late winter/early spring creations has been items that might appeal to visitors to Juneau, and also things like bird feeders that work for kinder, gentler weather. They are available by request until April 6th, and after that look for them at Panhandle Produce or the JACC.

I will not be selling at the spring makers markets because I will be out of town for those, but should be found at the outdoor summer markets put on by JAHC.

My amazing assistant and I have been having some fun making tree faces, which are facial components (eyes, nose, mouth, etc.) that you can hang on a tree or post to give that foundation some personality! After a short break at Christmas, I am back to working in my studio. The holiday sales/markets diminished my stock quite a bit, I’m happy to say. I really enjoy this time before spring when I can slow down and be more artistic in my creations. Today I was working on some yarn bowls, and am coming up with some ways to put the FUN in functional. I’ll post pictures when I’ve finished.

It may be a while before I am selling at a market again, but meanwhile I will put my pottery out at Panhandle Produce and also at the JACC and Centennial Hall lobbies. I will be selling at the Mendenhall Mall market for the next two weekends (Dec. 11 and 12, and 18 and 19). There will be new items both weekends. Here is a preview of what I have this weekend:

I have been traveling quite a bit this year, and now that I’m home, I have been making lots of pottery. I have some pottery out for sale currently at Panhandle Produce, and also at the JACC lobby shop and at Centennial Hall lobby shop. I won’t be selling in person at the upcoming Public Market, but I will have some of my pottery for sale in the lobby shops during the Public Market.

I will have all of my pottery out for sale during Gallery Walk on Friday night, December 3rd at the JACC, and Suki and I will be doing the selling. See you there!

I will also have all of my creations out at the Mendenhall Mall market the weekends of December 11 and 12, and the 18 and 19.

Juneau Arts and Humanities is starting up its Fresh Air Markets the first Saturday of each month this summer. Saturday the 5th of June ‘s market will take place at the brick courtyard next to the Marine Parking Garage, and will go from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. I will have 95% of my collection of pottery, so come on down and see!

These bird feeders can be hung or rested on a surface. They are approximately 8 inches tall, and have two openings and two perches. Fill the bottom space with your favorite bird seed, and enjoy the feathered visitors. Below are the feeders I have for sale, and the cost is $45 for each.

When the Covid pandemic hit last spring, the craft fairs/markets at which I normally sold my pottery were cancelled. Fortunately this fall the owners of Panhandle Produce (Kylie and Eli Wray) asked me if I’d like to display and sell my pottery at their store. I did that, and that has been a great success for me; I’m back to making new pots. Just this month, I started up my BirdNestPottery.com website, which will make it easier for interested buyers to see what I have to offer, especially for those who don’t live in Juneau.

While I am busy making some new items, I still have a few items here at my home, which you can see below.
