Spring Pottery Sale!

Put your warm jacket on and come to the Juneau Travel Fair this Saturday at the JACC. Indoors will be businesses from the tourism industry (read more below about this), but outside will be booths for the first annual Fresh Air Market! Look for Bird Nest Pottery (me) in the courtyard between the JACC and Centennial Hall. The market runs from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Here are some of the creations I will be selling, and don’t forget that Mother’s Day is just around the corner:

About the Travel Fair:

Juneau Arts and Culture Center is hosting the 2025 Juneau Travel Fair. You’ll find booths related to the visitor/tourism industry, and there are usually  prize drawings, discounts, giveaways, or other specials . Play “Partner Bingo” to be eligible for special prizes.

See you Saturday!

One more Market before Christmas

Bird Nest Pottery will be at one last market before Christmas: I will be at the Mendenhall Mall (along with many other vendors) on Saturday, December 21 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30, and on Sunday the 22nd from noon until 5:00. I’m about to open the final kiln load of creations! I will have mugs, bowls, salad oil bottles, butter dishes, and MUCH more. New at this sale I will have rockfish soap dishes and bird house ornaments as well as some non-pottery ornaments for the bicycle rider on your gift list. Come early for the best selection! See you this weekend. Oh and Santa will be at the mall from 1:00 – 4:00 both days.

Spring Pottery Sale!

I’ll be in and out of town a lot starting in May, so this Saturday’s sale at the JACC will be a rare chance to see all I’ve got. And I have a lot! In addition to some of my standards (butter dishes, oil bottles, mugs, sponge holders, and mugs) I have some new items.

The sale is the Travel Juneau Fair. There will be vendors inside and outside. It is from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Here are some of my new offerings:

A New Venue for my Pottery!

John and Sierra at Juneau Natural are carrying my pottery at their organic grocery store on Old Dairy Road. I just delivered a large load of ceramic items to them mid-May, so you can see all of my stock there or at the JACC lobby. Here are a few things that just came out of the kiln:

New items I have include some planters, so check that out.

Happy Springtime!

The first sale of 2023!

I will be selling my pottery at the Travel Juneau event at the JACC Saturday April 22nd. The event lasts from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. I have lots of inventory, and more than half of it is new. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, come down to the JACC parking lot and see what I have for any mothers you may know. Here is a glimpse:

Of course there are plenty of the old favorites: oil bottles, mugs of various sizes, butter dishes, and lidded jars for storing everything from spices to cookies. There are some new and newer items to select from, too: coffee pour-over vessels, yarn bowl, bowl or plate sets, bird feeders, vases, and tooth care containers for brushes and toothpaste.

I hope to see you next Saturday!

One last chance in 2022!

I will be selling pottery one last time before Christmas. This weekend (Dec 17 & 18) I will be at the Mendenhall Mall from 10 a.m. (12 a.m. on Sunday) until 5:30. I will have everything that I currently have made, so check out what that will be:

Tumblers with silicone lids, perfect for your favorite hot beverage.

Sets of bowls. Perfect size for soup, cereal, or better yet: ice cream!

Love coffee? Here are cones and coffee pots with built in cones. Enjoy the coffee making ritual with these colorful assistants.

Butter dishes. And if you have a cat, it won’t be able to knock this off of the counter.

One of my favorite things to make: lidded jars (they are a challenge). I have various sizes and shapes, including sugar bowls and garlic storage jars.

Bird feeders! Put a little black sunflower seed in the bottom and enjoy watching the birds pop in and out.

Sets of small plates. I use mine for everything.

Candle holders. They look so beautiful on these dark winter nights.

Bottles with pour spouts. Not just for olive oil; they are great for vinegars, salad dressing, or soy sauce.

And there will be many more items. I hope to see you at the Mendenhall Mall this weekend!
